Types of Training Available
Training plans cover a variety of different behavioral concerns from training a new puppy, basic manners for dogs of all ages, and behavior modification. Each training package will consist of a personalized training plan specific to you and your dog. These plans vary from adding structure to daily routines, teaching and changing behavior, management, enrichment or anything else that may be helpful in developing positive behaviors.
After your initial consultation, and receipt of your personalized training plan, the following session types are available:
Private Training
A private in-person session every 1-2 weeks is recommended to ensure we provide enough time between sessions to practice, but also to ensure consistency in developing the behaviors and outcomes you want to see.
At each training session, we will go through one to two behaviors with your dog. In-between our sessions, you will practice these behaviors, using provided handouts, and full email support. We will work at your dog's pace to meet your goals!
Best for:
This type of training is best suited for someone who is able to work with their dog on a daily basis and be really involved in the training process. It involves practicing (in short sessions) what we trained in our sessions so that your pup can learn the behaviors in your home environment.
Home Schooling
With Home Schooling , we come to your home 2 to 3 times per week (60-minute sessions). Your dog and I will work on training the behaviors we discussed in the training plan. You do not have to be at these sessions. At the end of the week, we will meet all together (you, me and your dog) in what I call a transfer session (60 minutes). I will show you what your dog has learned and how to practice them on your own. I do the foundation training and you practice to keep the behaviors fluent and consistent.
This process goes for about 3-4 weeks and we can tailor each package for what’s ideal for you and your dog.
Best for:
The working professional, full time student or someone who is looking for a little more trainer-to-dog, one on one time.
Virtual Training
Just like our private in-person sessions, but via Zoom. I will give detailed instructions and use my dog to help demonstrate. I will also record each session (with your permission) so that I can send you the sessions to review any information we covered.
Best for:
Those not in our local area of Denver, Colorado, if you have a reactive or fearful dog, or who need protection from the Coronavirus.
